Inaugurated in May 2005, the Center for International Arts Management (CIAM) is a collaborative effort of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, the University of Music Düsseldorf,  the Cologne University of Music and Dance and the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. CIAM combines the professional resources of these institutions to offer a theoretically-grounded and practice-based curriculum for the management of art and culture. CIAM focuses on all topics of arts management that pertain to the missions of its four partner institutions - visual art, music, theatre, film, media, aesthetics, musicology, and media studies.

The CIAM office is located at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.
CIAM is directed by Professor Peter M. Lynen.
