Aims:

• Acquiring a systematic overview of art law as a cross-sectional matter
• Acquiring in-depth understanding of specific areas of law relevant to art such as copyright law, contracting forms of the German Civil Code and the public sector, social insurance for artists, and labour law
• Understanding the fundamentals of cultural assets protection, international civil law and European law
• Acquiring the ability to identify legal problems (especially in contract law and mandatory law), find workable solutions, and seek the assistance of third parties when needed
